COVID-19 has changed the world from personal relations to business. India China border tensions also arose in this time and it had a big impact on Chinese market. Anti-China sentiments in heart of Indian people killed many Chinese brands in mobile, apps, smartphones, electronics, railways contracts and many more.
Xiaomi was the top smartphone seller for 2 years in India but according to research firm Counterpoint, Samsung overtakes Xiaomi this quarter, with 24% share in market and Xiaomi with 23%. Realme and Vivo are on third and fourth place respectively.
From April to September 2020, Samsung launched 18 mobile and Xiaomi 22.
The other market players like Micromax is back with some India sentiments with tag line “Cheeni Kum”, with the launch of “In” series.
But the competition is tough, Xiaomi may be back any time.
